Brisbane Markets Ltd Updates Fleet With New Environmentally-Friendly Regenerative Air Sweeper

Brisbane markets LTD announced today the purchase of a new Schwarze A6500 GS6 Regen air sweeper. The addition of the of the new regen sweeper is important because the A6500 GS6 offers a number of state-of-the-art advantages designed to provide a cleaner environment for the Brisbane markets.

The regenerative air process used in all Schwarze sweepers recirculates dirty air created during operation, rather than exhausting it back into the atmosphere as fugitive dust. At the same time, the thorough cleaning action of the new sweeper reduces the amount of runoff pollutants (P10 fines) available to enter our rivers and streams. These features are designed to provide greater compliance with the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts as they apply to minimizing these two major sources of air and water pollutants.

The Schwarze built sweepers also are able to sweep forward and in reverse; this is a time saving factor and also reduces the chance of injury by minimizing sweeper movement. This will also assist with the Brisbane Markets expansion plans for the future. The sweeper also has as standard a 12 volt hydraulic over ride system that allows for the dumping and non- sweeping related functions to happen without the need to start the AUX ENGINE. Proper use of this feature is also credited with drastically reducing dust as well as the chance of injury to operator and pedestrians as well as possible damage to property caused by flying debris.

In this particular photo series, Schwarze delivered some brand new Bonne Trailer Brooms to a Schwarze customer.

After 4 days of travel on the back of a Semi Trailer, the Bonne Trailer Brooms arrived in safe condition at location.

However, at the time of delivery, no standard equipment was available for unloading at the delivery yard.

After some quick thinking and smart intuition the only option was a crane. And as you know, up in the Northern Territory nothing is small.

Our Bonne Trailer Brooms were no match for this incredible large crane.

Eventually we were able to successfully unload the Trailer Brooms and they were ready for Sweeping.

Another Australian airport selects Schwarze

Another Australian airport has selected a Schwarze sweeper for the important task of keeping the area safe and clean. Launceston Airport in Tasmania recently ordered a Schwarze A6500XL, mounted on Isuzu FSR 850 chassis.

Launceston has joined Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Canberra as Schwarze customers. These airports operate an airport version of the normal A6500XL street sweeper that has been modified to cater for the particular needs of an airport. The wide sweep path, fast sweeping speed, low operating costs and reliability have made Schwarze the preferred choice of Australia
